Microsoft have just changed the name of their long awaited "ILM2" product to Forefront Identity Manager 2010. The product is still a year away though.

Interesting snippet - ILM "2" has been delayed for another year at least!!!.

Nat Muggli announces at TEC 2009 that AD-LDS/ADAM will be supported on Windows Clients and a package should be out for Windows Vista and 7 before the year is out.

DEC/TEC/Whatever - thoughts.

Well it's now around 2am and I have already slept as I could not keep awake earlier. Sunday is a free day with only shopping to complete until a welcome reception this evening. I wonder how this years conference will pan out, now that Quest own what was NetPro - we shall see.

The Experts Conference (DEC/TEC)

After much debate, I will be attending DEC (will always be DEC to me) in Las Vegas - if I pick up on any thing of interest - I will post them back to here.

Betting Shops

I am not really a gambling man, but what does really annoy me is, places like my local William Hill having misleading odds posters in their shop window.

For example last night they had, Liverpool v Real Madrid 3-1 and some great price, but the poster should have read Real Madrid v Liverpool 1-3 and the possibility of Liverpool getting 3 away goals at the Santiago Bernabéu explains the odds - I wonder if it's false advertising?

January 12

RODC/PDCe dependences.

The simple answer is there is not one, I was reviewing the Windows Server 2008 operations guide this evening (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=291bddb7-edc6-4e6d-9852-a9a14991d67c&DisplayLang=en) page 180 states that, in order to have RODC's deployed the PDCe must be Windows Server 2008 - this little caveat was removed during the beta phase - expect the document to be updated very soon and then my text will be worthless.
